New Year cleaning and last orders of the Year!

Very hectic around here with getting ready for the New Year and posting the last orders of the year. I am person who believes your house should be spotless for the New Year so your year can welcome good things instead of clutter and bad vibes. I guess I cant help it, this was ingrained in my soul by seeing my mom go berserk during the end of the year festivities. She would do a big big spring cleaning getting rid of any unwanted objects and cleaning the house till it almost looked like no one ever lived there. Ok, maybe I am not that obsessive but still I like to have the house tidy for the coming of the new year. So here are things I still need to tackle today:

  1. Kitchen Pantry and cupboards
  2. Finish up all the laundry
  3. My wardrobe
  4. Luke's bedroom
  5. Put away Christmas tree (Yes we did get one in the end, my hubby made me do it!)
So not too bad... the only big job is my wardrobe which I am avoiding like the plague! Anyway I have just posted the last order of the year yesterday morning. It was for Judy and she will be receiving it in the post two Stompies the dino after a couple of days.  They do look so cute, check out the photos bellow! Well I hope all of you have a wonderful New Year and see you next year with new orders!

Are you ready for Christmas yet???

Of course I am not ready for Christmas! As usual I am late late late in doing anything that reminds me of the season to be jolly around my home.

We don't have a tree and by the looks of it, we won't have one this year (no... I am not a grinch!) but its ok because only the thought of Luke (my beloved son who is almost 2 years old) trying to get his hands on the tree full of breakable ornaments is a scenario I would like to keep in my imagination!

I managed to buy a polystyrene ring to make a Christmas wreath out of fabric scraps (and make a nice tutorial in the process) but the ring just keeps staring at me in the spare-bedroom/ dump-room/sewing room, and I can hear the clock ticking telling me, "time is almost up and you need to hurry up!". So I guess no Christmas wreath this year either seeing how I still need to make 4 heat packs for family presents and two orders to send before Christmas time. But the wonderful world of the Internet does give me some pleasure in the evening after my little one is in bed safe asleep and while I drink my tea I browse through all the wonderful crafty bloggers who are ready for Christmas! They make me feel like I am ready for Christmas with them and their beautiful projects give me hope and  inspiration to make all these beautiful crafty projects for next year's Christmas in time.

We can only dream and it is the season to hope so who knows maybe Santa will give me good organizational skills so I might put up the wreath tutorial in time next year.  Here are a collection of blogs that inspired me and make me feel like it is Christmas after all. Enjoy!

Welcome to Little Wooden Shoe Blog!

Official opening of the Little Wooden Shoe blog!!! Here you can see what I am up to while making the cute toys that are for sale in my online shop. Also I will add tutorials to cool things you can make yourself! All toys are designed by me and are handmade.

For the opening today here is our new addition to the shop. Matilda was made for custom order for a colleague of my hubby. She is for his little three year old niece who lives in Melbourne. I am sure both of them are going to have so much fun cuddling and
having tea parties together! Well enjoy the pictures!
